In this new episode, we feature Riley Keeton, a local 600 First Assistant Camera. This position is INCREDIBLY crucial to production. Not only is it keeping the camera in focus, but working with each department to make sure what goes in the frame of each shot is planned out and well communicated. Riley's approach to his craft is astounding in the fact he's working to not be so reliant on technology, which is especially good if something breaks! Tom McLoughlin is an award-winning filmmaker who wrote and directed Friday the 13th Part VI, Jason Lives. A film considered the critical and fan favorite of the series for blending dark humor with horror. Aside from this credit he's also worked in Television, is currently in a rock band, and lectures at Chapman University. It was a fascinating conversation to walk through all the different projects that he's worked, the experiences he's gained, and the lessons he shares with his students. Episode 6 - A family of Filmmakers with Director/DP Oliver Young

After graduating from Chapman University Film School several years ago Oliver Young deep dived into the film scene. Initially as a Key Grip and then to working as a Director of Photography and now as a Film Director. Oliver comes from a lineage of filmmakers; his father actually met his mother on a horror film set that he directed and his mother acted in. In this episode, we discuss highlights from his upbringing such as epic family dinners with Ray Bradbury and Ray Harryhausen.
